  • Elizabeth Mackenzie, Managing Director and IFA

In 1985, having completed a degree in French at LSE, I joined TSB Bank and after much study became an Associate of the Institute of Bankers. In 1991, I was invited to join the Investment Practice as an Independent Financial Adviser. What a steep learning curve both in the role and – more exams! I have never looked back. A highlight of my career was speaking regularly on Premier Radio with Cindy Kent about financial planning for women. More recently I have joined the steering committee of the Association of Christian Financial Advisers (ACFA).

I am passionate about ensuring that women understand their finances and engage with them confidently. As a woman, I can draw on my own experience and stand alongside them whether they are single or in a committed relationship to ensure that as individuals, they feel financially secure.

I continue to have the privilege of advising many individuals, single and married, male and female, those starting out in their career through to those on their retirement journey. Their professional lives span from missionary to charity fund manager, doctor to IT consultant. Many of whom are so pleased with our service, they regularly refer their relatives and friends to us. In some cases, we cater to three generations!

I have two daughters, one of whom, I am delighted to say, has joined Grange with a view to becoming an adviser.

I am an active church member, I enjoy many sports such as running and tennis and enjoy travelling, reading, walking my dog and meeting with friends.

    Location: Winchester

  • Ellen Mackenzie, Senior Financial Planning Administrator

I started with Grange as a teenager, working part time. I went to Exeter University for a year to study Business Management and decided to spend a year working as a Financial Planning Administrator with another firm to enhance my skills and gained invaluable experience working with advisers and paraplanners.

I then moved back to Grange as a Financial Planning Administrator and have now become a Senior Financial Planning Administrator, Paraplanner, Manager and Business Development Manager.

I am planning to follow in Liz’ footsteps by studying to become a Chartered Financial Planner in Autumn 2024.

Outside of work I run my own used car dealership and spend most of my time washing cars!

  • Abi Hedges, Financial Planning Administrator

I joined Grange in November 2023. After studying to be a nurse for 2 years and being in the health care sector for just over 5 years I decided that it wasn’t for me and was given the opportunity to train to become a Financial Planning Administrator.

I would like to study to become a Financial Adviser after being an Administrator for a couple of years. For now, I want to build up my knowledge and experience in the finance industry.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy travelling to different places whether that be city or beach breaks and I would love to go travelling around Australia in the future.
